Speaking in the Dáil today, Brendan Ryan Labour Party TD has called for people to make submissions in relation to the BusConnects public consultation before the closing date on 28 September 2018.

Ryan “The draft plan for the BusConnects proposal is reaching the end of it’s initial public consultation phase and I am calling on all bus users to make a submission and have your voices heard. There are many issues which need to be addressed through this consultation including the express services for Rush, Lusk and Skerries, the need for a direct spine route to Balbriggan, direct services for Portmarnock, Malahide, Donabate and Swords.

Ryan “I am disappointed with some of the political responses to this proposal. They have sought to attack the process playing the man and not the ball. I believe in the power of public consultations to change proposals. If a public consultation doesn’t serve to alter a proposal enough then I will oppose it but we do need to engage rigorously with this consultation. Our transport infrastructure is at breaking point and I do believe we need a radical plan for our public bus service”
